Your missions

Security Administrator, Mid

Key Role:

Performs a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of firm and government sensitive and classified information. Applies specific functional, working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with security administrative processes and procedures

  • Experience with computer software applications, including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, security databases, and e-mail

  • Knowledge of Security Executive Agent Directives related to personnel security standards, adjudicative guidelines, reporting requirements, continuous evaluation, and reciprocity of background investigations

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, apply attention to detail, and work in a high tempo environment

  • Ability to interact with customers and colleagues professionally and advise personnel at all levels while fostering positive business relationships

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in information assurance or in a information system security officer, systems analyst, or systems support role

  • Experience with organizational and file management

  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) policy and implementation guidance, including assessment and authorization (A&A) processes applied to secure or maintain client authorization of classified contractor systems

  • Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53

  • Ability to learn and implement hardware and software controls, apply system patches, and conduct system audits

  • Ability to follow the NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD manuals to ensure security procedures are consistent with security regulations

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
