The Physician will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages, maintaining accurate and current patient records, and working collaboratively with our provider and support teams. Responsibilities:Perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plan and document findings appropriately and timelyDeliver high quality patient care while maintaining safetyDocument medical information of patients and review patient history at each visitRequest consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriateCounsel and educate patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests as neededEvaluate, triage and manage pediatric and adult patients for both acute, chronic and mental health conditionsActively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trendsProvide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test resultsScheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekends
Required Qualifications:Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine residency or equivalent program3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient settingActive ABMS or AOA Board Certification (in Family Medicine or IM/Peds highly preferred)Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing ExaminationActive medical license in the state of primary residenceActive and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state (TX and compact license preferred)Experience/Comfortable with providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populationsMust maintain Medicare active status
Ability to function within an integrated medical practiceOutstanding clinical expertiseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsComfort with technologyDemonstrate flexibilityNot under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and is not identified as an “excluded person” by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Service Administration (GSA), or reprimanded or sanctioned by MedicareMust maintain Medicare active status
Preferred Qualifications:Compact and/or multistate licensure preferredTelemedicine or virtual care experience preferredExperience with Athena EMR preferredExperience/interest in supervising Nurse practitionersPhysical/Cognitive Requirements:Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.The duties and responsibilities in this job description are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and will be updated on a regular basis and may be amended in the light of changing circumstances or business needs. Shift Obligations:A minimum of 20 clinical shift hours per weekWeekday evening shifts scheduled between the hours of 3p-11p PSTANDEvery other weekend, Saturday AND Sunday shifts: 8 hours/day, scheduled between 7a-11pRotating between day/evening shifts every other weekend2 holiday shifts per calendar yearPlease only proceed to apply if you are comfortable with the contractual scheduling requirementsThe United States compensation for this independent contractor position is $29 per visit. In addition to receiving a competitive pay, the compensation package may include the following:
