We are looking to hire a Power Systems Engineer for our Energy Resources line of business, working on renewable energy projects, including solar & BESS

 

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Experience with different aspects of preliminary and detailed electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, their integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies.
  • Experience with substation and collection system design reviews
  • Experience with the EPC RFP process and equipment specifications
  • Experience with solar and BESS layout development and review
  • Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, which cover layouts, elevations, single-line and three-line diagrams, both DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and the organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches, alongside a comprehensive bill of materials.
  • Crafting technical specifications for key electrical components to meet customer needs and adhere to the most recent and relevant standards.
  • Evaluating proposals, specifications, and drawings from vendors.
  • Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.
  • Design and review Single Line Diagrams in AutoCAD.
Qualifications:

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of five years of related experience (Master is preferred).
  • Possess experience in preparing layouts, elevation views, installation details, grounding, lighting, cable trays, and conduit layout drawings are required
  • Demonstrated expertise in a detailed understanding of the analytical tools/software used in the industry.
  • Strong customer focus, both internal and external.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable outside of one's comfort zone.
  • Proactive in learning new technology and engineering knowledge.

Location: This position will be remote. 

Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)
