The Role

As an IT Consultant at BlueSky Telepsych, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating, designing, and implementing IT solutions tailored to our telepsychiatric operations. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure our technology supports our mission and delivers exceptional care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Assessment & Strategy:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of our existing IT infrastructure, systems, and processes specific to telepsychiatry.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their technology needs and business objectives.
• Develop strategic recommendations for technology enhancements that improve operational efficiency and patient care.
• Solution Design & Implementation:
• Design and propose technology solutions that address identified gaps and support telepsychiatry workflows.
• Oversee the implementation of new systems, including electronic health records (EHR), telemedicine platforms, and patient management systems.
• Ensure that technology solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing systems and comply with industry standards.
• Project Management:
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Technical Support & Training:
• Provide ongoing technical support to ensure smooth operation of telepsychiatric systems and platforms.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on new technologies and system updates.
• Create user guides and documentation to support training and ongoing use.
• Compliance & Security:
• Ensure that all IT systems and practices comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant standards.
• Advise on and implement cybersecurity measures to protect patient data and maintain system integrity.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
• Vendor Management:
• Evaluate and recommend third-party technology solutions and vendors to meet our telepsychiatry needs.
• Manage relationships with vendors and oversee the procurement process for technology products and services.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay current with trends and advancements in telemedicine and healthcare technology.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement to enhance the effectiveness of our telepsychiatric services.
  
  

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISM) are a plus.
• Proven experience as an IT Consultant or similar role, preferably within the healthcare or telemedicine sector.
• Strong understanding of telepsychiatry systems, electronic health records (EHR), and patient management technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement effective technology solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
