Job description

Business Development Resources (BDR) is the premier provider of business training and coaching services to HVAC contractors. Our goal is simple: empower our clients with our industry experience and information to give them the knowledge and skills they need to drive profit and growth in their business. We are currently looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team and embark on their career with BDR! Job Title: Instructional Designer

Work Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday, OT when necessary

Location: Remote/ Hybrid

Pay Rate: $32.00 - $40.00 an hour, depending on experience

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, 401K, 3.08 hours of accrual of PTO biweekly, 6 Paid Holidays

Primary Job Function

Utilize adult learning principles, BDR training development best practices, and information from BDR subject matter experts to create new training content as directed. Maintain and update existing BDR training content. Track and report on new content development and content updates.

Daily Duties

  • Instructional Design Expertise: Ability to apply instructional design principles to develop and update training content.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with subject matter experts and other team members to gather content and feedback.
  • Project Management: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Communication: Clearly communicate ideas and instructions through written and verbal communication.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Content Fidelity: Ensure new and existing training content reflects BDR training and coaching principles, values, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze challenges and develop creative solutions to improve training content and delivery.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using a variety of authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and quality in all training materials and documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance training content and delivery methods.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to track and report on training effectiveness metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Content Utilization: Identify ways to utilize existing BDR training content when developing new training content or resources
  • Other duties as assigned
