The Role: Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead market initiatives in Illinois. This role demands a seasoned professional with a robust background in healthcare management and business development, as well as a history of surpassing growth targets. This position is mainly remote, with occasional in-state travel. Candidates should have prior experience with Illinois health systems and must reside and have professional experience in Illinois. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Market Strategy and Development:

  • Craft and execute healthcare market strategies tailored to the Illinois region.
  • Evaluate local market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory environments to pinpoint growth prospects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

Business Expansion:

  • Drive initiatives to enhance the organization’s footprint in the Illinois healthcare sector.
  • Seek out and cultivate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and new client opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, healthcare providers, and community leaders.

Performance Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the success of business development activities.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and meet growth objectives.
  • Regularly report on market performance and trends to senior leadership.

Team Coordination:

  • Partner with internal departments, including Growth, Care, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach in serving Illinois partners.
  • Offer guidance and support to ensure team members exceed performance benchmarks.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Stay informed about local healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Contracting, and Operations to ensure all business practices meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare management and business development within Illinois.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regional healthcare market trends, regulatory issues, and competitor activities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a knack for motivating and leading a high-achieving team.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving growth.

Pay Range Details: Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 (commensurate with experience).
