Your missions

Paragon Legal, a flexible legal talent provider, is hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team on a remote basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in relationship-based sales, enjoys being part of a team, and has a genuine interest in the business of law.

When sharing your resume please be sure it includes your current location and a link to your LinkedIn profile.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Crafting tailored and well-researched client outreach to communicate Paragon’s value and service offerings
  • Prospecting, nurturing, and closing on new business using a sales plan that includes the use of email, phone calls, and LinkedIn
  • Leading client meetings with the aim to understand their strategy, pain points, and hiring needs, and to connect those to Paragon’s offering and prior success
  • Building long-term, trusting, and value-added relationships with prospective clients
  • Working collaboratively with Client Development and Recruiting teams to ensure a cohesive client experience
  • Meeting quarterly and annual KPIs on pipeline building and revenue generation
  • Tracking and reporting on your activity, in real-time (daily and weekly), within a CRM
  • Serving as a face of Paragon at conferences and trade shows, including attending, networking, and setting prospect meetings, and representing Paragon on social media through active posting and engagement

Competencies required for success in this role:

  • At least five years of experience with consultative sales of professional services to C-Suite and senior executives
  • Prior experience within the legal profession including either the practice or business of law
  • Achievement: You have a proven track record of success with measurable results in prior business development roles that included prospecting, nurturing, and closing on new business
  • Motivation: You are self-motivated and are able to drive things forward proactively. You have a strong sense of ownership over your work. You are driven and persistent to be both individually and collectively successful.
  • Relationship-building: You have strong executive presence, and you are able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with senior client decision-makers. You have the ability to play the long-game in a relationship-based sales environment, and you make long-term decisions over short-term benefit.
  • Collaboration: You have a one-team orientation and a strong desire and willingness to work collaboratively across the Paragon team. You thrive in a collaborative environment, and you enjoy working with peers across other departments to close new business you bring in. You are willing to provide and accept feedback to improve.
  • Organization: You have keen organizational skills and self-motivated follow through. You are able to track and manage your activity and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You are able to plan, schedule, and budget your time in an efficient manner.
  • Flexibility: You thrive in an environment where you are able to move quickly, make changes, pivot, and adapt to new circumstances.

This is a fully-remote position with quarterly travel required for client meetings, conferences, team gatherings, etc.

The base salary for this role is in the range of $95,000 - $115,000. This position is eligible for commission and a performance-based bonus. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, and other considerations permitted by law.

Full time employees are eligible for Paragon’s medical, dental, and vision insurance (with an employer contribution), long-term disability, life, and AD&D coverage, medical FSA participation, 401(k) participation for eligible employees, unlimited CLEs through PLI, Employee Assistance Plan, paid vacation, and paid sick time (where required by state law).
