Job Title: Business Development Manager – Children’s Services

Reporting to: Head of Business Development

Location: Hybrid – Work from home with travel to client sites when required

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 basic DOE + Car Allowance + up to £40k bonus and uncapped commission once 100% target is reached.

Do you excel in new business acquisition and driving business growth? Demonstrating a keen understanding of the dynamics and challenges involved, you'll be instrumental in targeted business development efforts. If you have exposure to children's organisations, including regulated areas like Ofsted-regulated supported living, youth offending, fostering and adoption, and managing challenging behaviours, you could be the ideal candidate. Your familiarity with creating and bidding for formal tenders underscores your proactive approach to securing business opportunities.


Motivated by personal, professional, and organisational targets, you consistently achieve and exceed sales objectives, making you a standout performer in promoting premium products within regulated industries. What will you do?


Whilst a full job description can be supplied, here are a few of the key responsibilities for the role:


Drive business growth and market share by leading the acquisition of new customers and national accounts, while developing existing markets and exploring new opportunities.

Play a pivotal role in the sales team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability to stay ahead of internal and external competition.

Articulate and execute comprehensive strategic growth plans for small to large accounts, continually monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to exceed sales targets.

Proactively generate new business leads through various channels and consistently achieve sales targets by securing appointments and building lasting relationships.

Act as the primary contact for prospective clients, providing exceptional customer service and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.

Conduct market research, utilise CRM data, and engage in cold calling activities to identify sales opportunities and drive organisational growth.
