A day in the life:
- Manage software development projects and ensure that they are delivered on time and within budget. Represent the software development team to external teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and external parties.
- Demonstrate empathy towards team members and their concerns.
- Provide leadership to the team and inspire them to achieve their goals.
- Develop a vision for the team and work towards achieving it.
- Make sound decisions that benefit the team and the company.
- Negotiate effectively with external parties to achieve favorable outcomes for the team, the program and the company.
- Follow up with team members and external parties to ensure that commitments are met.
- Possess strong operational skills to ensure the team's objectives are met.
- Encourage team members to work without feeling pushed, creating a positive work environment.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or Applied Mathematics, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Experience planning and leading projects - all project phases (4+)
- Experience leading IT Projects of any kind - Infrastructure, Transformation, Application Development (5+)
- Knowledge of MS Excel including capabilities to produce presentations and data models including analytical tools (formulas, VLookUp, charts, graphs and pivot tables) (2+)
- Demonstrated analytical, consulting, negotiation and problem-solving skills (2+)
- Demonstrated experience producing and maintaining project documents and processes (3+)
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate messages.
