Description:

About the Role: RailPros is seeking a Railroad Safety Instructor to join our team as an independent contractor for a 6-month engagement, with potential for contract renewal. This remote role requires 60% travel within Mexico.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging railroad safety training programs both in-person and virtually via video conferencing tools like MS Teams.
  • Provide technical support to trainees during and after sessions to ensure effective application of skills.
  • Utilize RailPros Learning Management System (LMS) for managing training activities, including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and assessment results.
  • Monitor and report on training metrics, including participation and feedback, to continually enhance program quality.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of existing and new training courses.
  • Support the training administration process by coordinating with the training delivery and operations teams.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in training, with a strong track record of effective instruction for adult learners.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in FRA and/or industry-specific safety and railroad regulations in Mexico.
  • Skills: Advanced bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (both written and spoken), strong presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office applications.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 60% of the time within Mexico.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in railroad or construction safety, with a thorough understanding of industry safety protocols and regulations.
  • Experience with heavy equipment is highly preferred, with a focus on associated safety risks and protocols.
  • Strong communication and instructional abilities.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a passport for international travel.
