As a Supplier Diversity Program Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help develop and shape the Banner Health Supplier Diversity Program and its meaningful impact on the communities Banner serves. .
This will primarily be a remote position, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Must have the ability to be onsite as needed for training and/or meetings. Onsite locations include Banner Support Services in Chandler and Banner Corporate Offices in Phoenix. The position will also require offsite travel to supplier diversity related events, trade shows, conferences, and workshops.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides program management for the Banner Health Supplier Diversity Program and supplier portal. The incumbent will partner with the Supplier Diversity Council to develop and execute program goals and strategic initiatives; collaborate with organizational leaders to identify and connect qualified diverse suppliers to RFP and other procurement opportunities; and measure and report program performance and economic impact to leadership and key stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing Banner’s supplier portal and ensuring suppliers satisfy Banner compliance requirements. Incumbent will also serve as a liaison with diverse supplier advocacy organizations and participate in related trade shows, conferences, and workshops as required.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides leadership and operational support for the Banner Health Supplier Diversity Program and serves as the Banner liaison with national and regional supplier diversity advocacy organizations and GPO supplier diversity committees. This includes representing Banner Health at supplier diversity related trade shows, conferences, and workshops as required.
2. Serves as a strategic partner to the Supplier Diversity Council and assists with establishing and executing program goals and objectives to strengthen supplier diversity and inclusion across spend categories.
3. Manages the supplier portal and vendor compliance. Assists new and existing suppliers with registering through the supplier portal and completing any applicable compliance requirements (i.e., W-9, exclusion screening, etc.). Actively reviews supplier profiles and promptly responds to prospective supplier inquiries. Maintains a positive business relationship with existing and prospective suppliers.
4. Collaborates with Banner Health leaders and diverse supplier advocacy organizations to identify and connect qualified diverse suppliers to RFP and other procurement opportunities when possible.
5. Measures and reports program performance and economic impact to senior leaders and key stakeholders, including Supply Chain Leadership and the Supplier Diversity Council. This includes but is not limited to Tier 1 and Tier 2 diversity spend, local spend, and sustainability metrics.
6. Responsible for identifying opportunities and making recommendations to further develop and mature the Banner Health Supplier Diversity Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
Requires four or more years of progressive experience in supply chain management and/or strategic sourcing, including two or more years of experience leading supplier diversity programs and/or initiatives.
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively establish and maintain successful relationships with all business partners/stakeholders, including senior leaders. Must be a team player and effectively collaborate with others. Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills. Must demonstrate strong personal computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Professional in Supply Diversity (CPSD) certification
Program management experience.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
