About the role
As a Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion you will provide strategic guidance and empowerment to leaders, facilitating the achievement of goals and continuous progress and outcomes towards diversity commitments. Collaborating closely with business leaders, you will ensure they are not only coached and supported but also equipped with the necessary tools to navigate diversity processes effectively.
You will report to the Senior Director, People Programs.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $174,400 - $228,900 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $156,960 - $206,010 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and iterate Oscar’s DE&I strategy and roadmap
- Responsible for the Ideation and delivery of centralized programming that helps foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, including support of Oscar’s Employee Resource Groups (ERG);
- Partner with leaders across the organization to help not only ensure our talent processes enable inclusive and equitable outcomes but also help Oscar achieve its goals
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure the diverse backgrounds and experiences at Oscar help inform the business strategy and impact the industry in ways that drive competitive advantage;
- Design and build of Diversity function processes such as metrics, analytics, and reporting that can provide insights and direction to People team and company leaders; and
- Lead a team as a player/coach who will divide and conquer to run down and successfully deliver various Diversity function priorities.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10+ years preferably in large, complex organizations; tech-focused organizations, and/or fast scaling organizations.
- Minimum of 7+ years experience in leading diversity programming.
- Expert skill set in articulating and discussing complex strategies and issues.
- Demonstrated experience building successful consultative relationships with business managers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience building, interpreting relevant data and insights.
- Experience building and leading diversity and inclusion programming (both employee facing and external facing).

Pay Transparency: Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
