We are a young and innovative software company, looking to dramatically change how pharma, biotech and medical device companies manage their quality and compliance regulated processes.

Dot Compliance is looking for a talented and highly driven Solutions Engineer to join our fast-growing sales team. The Solutions Engineer will be an integral part of our Sales organization and will be working closely with our potential customers and partners helping Dot Compliance grow its business in North America.

As a member of this team, you will add value throughout the sales process by supporting business and technical requirements, solution development, in depth product demonstrations, trials and proof of concepts, managing prospect’s experience with the solution, and ensuring smooth customer handovers with the delivery teams. You’re expected to be our foremost product expert and seen as a trusted advisor to our client during the entire sales cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulate the benefits of the Dot Compliance solutions and tailor product demos to all client employee levels including “C” level executives. 
  • Manage the prospect presale process – deep knowledge of the product and the possibilities to match the solution to customer requirements. 
  • Keep up to date with new solution versions and regulatory updates that impact companies primarily in the life science industry. 
  • Produce and deliver technical proposals per client requests including general technical inquiries and answering RFI’s/RFP’s. 
  • Manage all aspects of Dot Compliance trials with potential clients; create trial environment and manage the end-to-end process with prospects. 
  • Own, develop and improve the Dot internal demo environment. 
  • Engage with internal communities to support knowledge management, thought leadership, and professional development efforts. 
  • Share best practices, industry knowledge, and personal expertise to educate both clients, partners and fellow consultants, in formal and ad hoc settings.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 2+ years of previous experience as a Solutions Engineer. 
  • Experience with project management. 
  • 2+ years of previous experience supporting the sales of SaaS solutions preferably in highly regulated industries. 
  • Hands-on experience working with other SaaS applications in the QMS, EHS or GRC space. 
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new customers through matching of customer needs/requirements to proposed solutions. 
  • Strong technical orientation and understanding of cloud software basics. 
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken. 
  • Dynamic, energetic, and eager for success with a positive “can do” attitude. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent presentation, and social interaction skills. 
  • Experience working within the life science industry is highly advantageous. 
  • Independent learner with the ability to adapt and understand concepts with agility. 
  • Team Player and People-oriented. 

Nice-to-have Requirements:

  • A degree from a recognized University/College. Ideally a degree in information systems or computer science. 
  • Experience working as a service provider/technical support engineer. 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Administration or Development. 
  • Background knowledge of the life science industry. 
  • Experience working in a start-up environment. 
  • Experience selling other QMS solutions such as: Sparta TrackWise; Veeva Vault; MasterControl; ETQ;  
  • Knowledge of integration tools and APIs 
  • Experience and knowledge of QMS adjacent areas such as PLM; EBR; LIMS; RIM and Clinical Solutions. 
  • Hands-on industry experience as a Quality Management Professional.
