Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and best practices for deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Design and Implementation:
    • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS that are secure, scalable, and resilient.
    • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, AWS  CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
    • Design and deploy network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, and VPNs.
 
  • Automation and Optimization:
    • Automate cloud infrastructure management tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using AWS services like Lambda, Systems Manager, and CloudWatch.
    • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
 
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and manage AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, security groups, and encryption.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
    • Perform regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
 
  • Monitoring and Support:
    • Monitor AWS infrastructure using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
    • Respond to and resolve incidents, performance issues, and outages in a timely manner.
    • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including backups, snapshots, and multi-region deployments.
 
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of AWS infrastructure.
    • Document infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members on AWS best practices.

Qualifications
 
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
    • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
    • Experience with cloud automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFront, and Route 53.
    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and load balancing.
    • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Certifications (preferred):
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
    • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
