Senior Software Engineer, Backend, Recommendation & Retargeting

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will serve as a technical reference for the team, providing guidance and expertise in backend development best practices. You will be responsible for important evolutions of our products in terms of scalability (it's a global product!)  and product evolution to address main customers demands and market opportunities. Your contributions will directly impact the success and global growth of our organization, making this a truly exciting opportunity.

About the Team

This is a new team where you’ll play a crucial role being part of the founding team and shaping the ecommerce experience. You will face the exciting challenge of integrating AI solutions into the VTEX platform, analyzing user behavioral data to enhance the shopping journey with personalized recommendations. Also you will work on addressing customers across different channels, delivering the right product at the right time.

Who You Are

• You can effectively communicate in English and Portuguese. English is really important in this team!
• You have experience in building backend systems for large-scale applications.
• You have demonstrated experience in a technical guidance capacity, successfully guiding project teams and establishing strategic technical direction;
• You are proficient in multiple programming languages.
• You have a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams.
• You thrive in dynamic environments and find them energizing.
