The Building Information Modeling (BIM) & Computer Aided and Design (CAD) Project Manager will manage and execute 3D Imaging projects, oversee all 3D Imaging activities, and create project-specific execution plans. This position will be responsible for deploying and implementing new technologies on a project-by-project basis in alignment with the company’s strategy and goals. The BIM & CAD Project Manager will provide integrated solutions to the challenges in today’s facilities management industry. Additionally, this role will involve operating LiDAR and creating Point Cloud files, while also providing support to Operations and Marketing for 3D Imaging projects.
 

ESSENTIAL TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES 

Project Planning and Execution: 

  • Develop and implement 3D Imaging processes for specific projects. 
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for BIM and CAD projects. 
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure timely completion.
Technology Implementation: 
  • Deploy and manage the use of 3D laser scanning technology on projects. 
  • Operate LiDAR equipment and create Point Cloud files to support project objectives. 
  • Teach and deploy estimating using 3D models for take-offs. 
Project Oversight: 
  • Oversee the creation of animations and renders for project pursuit efforts. 
  • Ensure that all 3D Imaging activities are completed efficiently and to high standards. 
Client Engagement: 
  • Engage with clients to foster open communication and receive feedback.
  • Assess current challenges in 3D Imaging implementation and identify future needs. 
Stakeholder Collaboration: 
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure 3D Imaging solutions are compliant with Federal and DoD IT/IS requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate 3D Imaging solutions with existing IT/IS infrastructure. 
Budget and Resource Management: 
  • Create and manage project-specific budgets.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines. 
Documentation and Reporting: 
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all project-related activities. 
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and compliance issues. 
Quality Assurance: 
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of project processes and outcomes. 
Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management or Architecture required  
  • License preferred but not required given appropriate work experience 
  • 5 years in AE or construction industries 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a BIM professional 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

  • Core understanding of BIM and CAD 
  • Proficiency within the Autodesk suite is required, particularly Revit and AutoCAD 
  • Familiarity using specialized USACE and DoD software required (RMS, access to Enterprise Data Warehouse, etc.) a plus 
  • Proactively pursues personal development to remain proficient in the latest imaging and BIM technologies and programs 
  • Experience working with U.S. Army Corps of Engineering preferred 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Working knowledge of virtual design and construction management 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
  • Ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) government background check 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Extensive walking through facility while on-site 
  • Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds at times 
  • Must be able to work remotely and on-site as required by the position, client and/or contract requirements 
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed if working on-site 
  • May be required to climb, crawl and crouch to access equipment 
  • May be required to travel once a month as needed

Salary Range Compensation will be based on experience and skills
