Your missions

Overview:

IDG, a PE-backed Data and Analytics company, has an opportunity for a Dynamic Senior Tax Manager or Director. This newly created position will develop and participate in various tax initiatives and projects. You will work alongside our co-sourcing firm and report directly to the Senior Tax Director. You will be involved in the review of tax planning, reporting and compliance strategies, and evaluation of the tax impact and implications of business strategies and proposals.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of tax audits and administration; providing audit support to the IRS, State or foreign tax authorities, as necessary
  • Participates in the development, design and implementation of tax systems, policies, processes, and technology
  • Assists with foreign/domestic tax planning, research, structuring, and compliance for both U.S. and international tax laws and regulations
  • Provides tax leadership on the company’s strategic transactions
  • Provides support with various special tax related projects, including transfer pricing studies, tax saving opportunities, and process improvements
  • Manages external advisers in multiple jurisdictions
  • Participates in meetings, serves on committees and special projects as assigned
  • Supports the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Convergent skillset of technical tax, accounting, and system proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with tax colleagues, finance organization teams, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Flexiblity to assist with different assignments among various tax workstreams
  • Minimum 8 years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, JD/LLM or similar certifications helpful but not required

This role can be 100% remote in an approved US East Coast location. We will also consider candidates for our Needham MA office with a hybrid work environment coming into the office 2 days a week.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. The anticipated total annual compensation, dependent on location and experience, is between170,000 -190,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
