What your experience will be:

As the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role on our leadership team, overseeing all strategic and functional financial operations. You will report to the CEO and work closely with other department leaders and external stakeholders to ensure the company’s financial health and growth. Your responsibilities will include implementing efficient financial processes and controls, leveraging advanced technology, and developing plans to scale the business. You will have the opportunity to build and lead your founding finance team. What Success Looks Like

Develop and execute financial strategies to support Slang.ai's growth from Series A to Series B and beyond

Oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Implement and manage accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance

Lead revenue operations, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition

Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to drive business decisions

Manage investor relations and fundraising efforts, including preparation of financial statements and investor communications

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

What you will bring

Proven experience in strategic finance, accounting, and revenue operations from early stage through version three of growth at a startup

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

Ability to Manage Accounting and financial controls

Experience with financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, financial ERP systems)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Elevated Emotional quotient and strategic partner to Head of People Operations and Legal teams
