Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and accurate General Accounting Specialist to join our fast-paced call center environment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and resolving customer inquiries related to general accounting matters.
Job Responsibilities:Handle inquiries via phone and email, specifically addressing issues related to invoices, payments, statements, and account balancesProcess a high volume of accounting transactions efficiently and accurately, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesFollow directions on method and processes of account reconciliations, trouble-shooting and escalating issues as neededRespond to customer emails and calls in a courteous, professional, and timely mannerReconcile bank statements and identify discrepanciesPrepare and maintain accurate accounting reports and documentationOwn account reconciliations during the month-end closing proceduresEnsure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controlsStay up-to-date on company policies and procedures related to accounting practicesAdhere to company policies and proceduresMeet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modulesCollaborate with other departments as needed Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all timesPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience2 years of experience in a general accounting roleStrong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgerProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent data entry and mathematical skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plusCore Competencies:Accounting PrinciplesAccounts PayableAccounts ReceivableGeneral LedgerCustomer ServiceCall Center OperationsData EntryAccuracyAttention to DetailCommunication SkillsInterpersonal SkillsProblem-Solving SkillsTime ManagementNinja Perks and Benefits
