Job Description

The role of the Technical Training Specialist Europe is to oversee all technical training activities related to the maintenance organization and provide guidance and mentorship to the maintenance staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage individual training plans for new AMO personnel.
  • Develop and Manage training plans to facilitate career development for existing AMO personnel.
  • Monitor any ongoing training courses for maintenance technicians and provide guidance to technicians as required.
  • Facilitate the coordination of all classroom and on-the-job (OJT) maintenance training events by performing or coordinating initial training activities in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards described or incorporated by the MTCE-M01 Maintenance Policy Manual.
  • Follow the guidelines of the TRG-M07 Initial Maintenance Training Syllabus and the Maintenance Training Standards Manual (MTCE-M07).
  • Provide training within the RAMCO software system.
  • Ensure that training requirements for qualifications and signing authorities (SCA/ACA) are completed in accordance with the Maintenance Training Standards Manual (MTCE-M07).
  • Ensure that all maintenance employees are trained in the sections of the Top Aces Management system (TAMS) related to their area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Training System Coordinator to maintain employee technical training records within the LMS (Absorb) software.
  • Assist in developing maintenance training course material and content with the Airworthiness Department as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulation requirements for the accomplishment and certification requirements of aircraft maintenance.
  • Training experience in aviation maintenance or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within the management system of a Canadian AMO.
  • Quality Assurance or Maintenance Management experience would be an asset.
  • Solid understanding of AMO maintenance management software would be an asset.
  • Strong communication skills

 

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

Position requires Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
