Job Description

This position is responsible for leading teams of distribution employees in all areas throughout the DC to ensure they are performing their duties in accordance with management's direction and business goals while adhering to all company standards and policies.

Job Duties
  • Provide limited supervision leading and motivating the distribution team while working towards meeting group goals and project completion.
  • Train distribution employees on processes and specific duties and serve as the first point of contact for questions and concerns.
  • Monitor processes while performing time studies and report any concerns or suggestions to Supervisor or DC Management Team for improvements.
  • Assist in development creation and writing SOPs and work instructions.
  • Coordinate staffing with distribution leadership team on a daily basis ensuring adequate coverage throughout receiving shipping and inventory areas.
  • Handle all administrative functions of incoming calls or emails to resolve problems.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to associates regarding performance and productivity.
  • Provide feedback on observations made with staff work flow or processes providing suggestions on improvements with details to Supervisor or DC Management Team.
  • Work on the floor in a distribution role as required.
  • Provide assistance to Supervisor or DC Management Team and perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior experience in full time distribution related duties are required.
  • Olympus distribution experience is preferred.

 

Preferred:

  • Strong computer knowledge and experience.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work independently or as a team player self-motivated self-starter.
  • Must demonstrate interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with others at all levels within the business.
  • Strong organizational skills preferred.
