What You'll Do 

The Software Engineer is responsible for the module/service level from design to delivery for First Advantage's key products. This a hands on role that works with the product owner and lead architect to ensure compliance with FADV security and quality standards. . , The Software Engineer will develop quality code at all levels of the stack and uses automation frameworks for testing and deployment for this high-volume, security intensive application  Ability to understand the end user needs, specifically hiring managers and candidates utilizing our background check applications, is important in this role.  In addition, this individual will use their strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with development teams globally

Responsibilities:

Design and Develop software applications and solutions based on documented business and system requirements.
 Write, edit, and debug code for assigned projects. Understand how applications operate, are structured, and how customers use them.
Provide assistance to the testing team and support personnel as needed to resolve application issues.
Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports.
Assist and mentor junior and senior developers on technical patterns and coding challenges.  
 Review designs and code and provide feedback and guidance.
Take ownership of the delivery schedule and quality of work. Provide input and estimates about the effort
required to build desired functionality.
Design applications for stability, scalability, and performance. Design solutions to problematic programming.
Use Test-driven Development (TDD) techniques to specify a detailed, executable design for your solution
Must have hands on experience on Java 8 and above and other Java technologies

Previous work experience with Quarkus and WildFly Swarm
Design and develop Microservices systems with Java, Quarkus, WildFly Swarm or Node.js
Knowledge of RESTful API services
Should have working knowledge on DBs preferably Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
Prior work experience on UI technologies preferably TypeScript and Angular development. Working experience in Agile framework
At least 1-2 years of experience building large-scale software applications
