Rockfon is seeking a Technical Product Manager - Ceilings, based in our Chicago facility, as part of our Rockfon Product Management team.  The position will report to the Head of Product Management and has no direct reports.  This role is hybrid, working in the office Monday through Thursday, and work from home available on Fridays.

The Ceilings Technical Product Manager will initiate and drive the entire Rockfon ceiling portfolio – Stone Wool Ceiling Tiles, Metal Ceilings and Suspension Grid – serving as the technical expert for Rockfon North America. This role will identify gaps in training subjects and structure, develop training curriculum to fill gaps, and drive the rollout of created training to internal employees and external customers via our LMS platform. This role would support the development/review of technical files, such as CAD and BIM, ensuring these files are suitable for external usage. Additionally, this role will field questions regarding proper ceiling installation – including support directly from jobsite, recommended usage of products, physical properties of products, etc.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Initiate and manage projects that highlight the technical aspects of our products via website tools, marketing collateral, installation guides and any other avenues this role deems fit
  • Identfy knowledge gaps within the company and develop training curriculum to fulfill those gaps
  • Own learning management system (LMS) developing training curriculms and pathways for internal employees and external customers
  • Develop and monitor product datasheets, installation guides and other technical documentation for accuracy.
  • Provide product and installation training to internal and external teams as directed.
  • Support the development and review of technical files, such as CAD and BIM, related to the product line
  • Supports development of various technical marketing collateral such as product datasheets, installation guides, brochures and various other types of documentations
  • Be the knowledge expert and technical resource to internal employees and external customers on all of Rockfon’s Stone Wool Ceiling Tiles, Metal Ceilings and Suspension Grid
  • Monitor and responds to technical questions on ceiling installation and recommended product usage submitted to the Technical Services via email or phone call to the Technical Services hotline

What You Bring

  • Minimum Associates Degree in engineering, architecture, marketing or related field
  • 3+ Years experience as Product Manager in building products industry preferred
  • Experience within the Ceilings industry preferred
  • Understand ceiling industry testing, codes and standards, taking a hands on approach to product training
  • Experience reading architectural drawings, bids, project schedules, change order processes and budgeting
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate in writing and verbally with diverse audiences creating training and installation guides and presenting
  • Familiarity with construction software programs such as CAD and BIM, Revit
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and CRM
