Job description

JOB PURPOSE
As a Junior Technical Product Owner at Companjon, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the technical development and implementation of insurance solutions in our core insurance platform. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the technical onboarding and lifecycle management of business partners, ensuring seamless integration and ongoing technical support. You will collaborate closely with the our Solution Managers, providing a technical counterpart to their end-to-end product management.

ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will do as Junior Technical Product Owner in Companjon
  • Support the technical onboarding, implementation, and lifecycle management of business partners, acting as point of contact for all technical aspects.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Solution Managers, offering technical insights and support for the end-to-end management of insurance products.
  • Support to oversee the development and configuration of insurance products within our core insurance system, ensuring high standards of quality and functionality.
  • Eliciting, analyzing, and communicating technical requirements for insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with our Quality Assurance team, coordinating testing and validation.
  • Provide support for production troubleshooting, swiftly addressing and resolving technical issues to maintain product integrity.
  • Actively support and implement changes and improvements for the products under your responsibility, aligning with business goals and user needs.
  • Represent technical solutions to distribution partners, ensuring their operational needs are met with high-quality technical integrations.
  • Coordinate with technology partners to implement new features and solutions, adhering to agile development timelines.
  • Manage technical documentation for partner-facing and internal applications and APIs, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
What you will need to succeed
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in business analysis, product management, tech project management, or software architecture 
  • Experience in modern web development (frontend/backend), with understanding of Java-based backend architecture patterns (e.g., micro-services) 
  • Experience in working in agile teams 
  • Experience in SaaS technology management, incl. API management, versioning, and documentation 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent ability to translate business needs into IT requirements, ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives.
  • Fluency in English, other European languages a plus 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, Master's degree a plus
