The opportunity
Harvard Business Publishing’s Corporate Learning division targets enterprises that recognize leadership development as a source of competitive advantage. The Corporate Learning (CL) team’s expertise is in creating rich, interactive learning experiences that develop leaders who shape their organizations’ futures by making smart decisions at critical moments.
The Principal Learning Partner (PLP) holds a senior position within the account team in partnership with the Relationship Manager (RM) and Customer Success Manager (CSM). Primary accountability for the PLP is to bring thought leadership and instructional design expertise to our clients to improve leadership skills that impact organizational success. In this role, the PLP is responsible for leading solution design, driving account expansion, revenue, and ensuring profitability. The PLP partners with RMs to drive new client acquisition and deepen existing relationships by consulting with client stakeholders across multiple functions and levels. They endeavor to integrate themselves as a trusted adviser in targeted accounts to extend the reach of current solutions and establish HBP as an enterprise learning partner.
The PLP is a thought leader in leadership development and learning solution design and is sought after for advice and perspective on emerging trends, best practices of others in the industry, as well as proven and impactful strategies for effective learning. S/he/they have deep talent development and consulting expertise, a broad and deep understanding of Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) content and offerings, design and development capability, and a comprehensive understanding of how technology and AI solutions play in the leadership development space. The PLP can consult credibly with and understand the perspectives of client stakeholders, using strong relationship development and consultation skills. The have effective team leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence colleagues and clients, as well as strong commercial and business acumen. S/he/they will ensure account profitability and solution quality through effective collaboration with multiple teams within Corporate Learning’s (CL) and HBP’s ecosystems.
S/he/they are effectively able to leverage her/his/their time across a portfolio of client accounts plus new business opportunities to achieve maximum impact and meet clients’ development and business priorities.

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
