The Market Analyst is a fundamental role within the strategic vision of Thermal Ceramics EMEA and is responsible for providing key data insights that facilitate fact-based commercial decisions. Reporting to the Marketing & Strategy Director EMEA, the Market Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing and presenting qualitative and quantitative data for strategic and tactical decisions, through a number of processes and working with a wide number of internal and external stakeholders, to enable the growth and development of the region. 

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the data from market analysis and make it available via recommendations to the Company
  • Understanding Customer’s needs and solutions. This includes focusing on a wide selection of industrial markets, analyse trends and drivers.
  • Create forecasting models that helps to drive business decisions in a predictive way.
  • Prepare reports, market studies and mapping supporting management decisions. This is made by critically selected data, making research and applying business understanding in order to provide recommendations across different scenarios to management.
  • Collaborate with Thermal Ceramics Global stakeholders to enhance cross-regional communication.
  • Business intel (Customer, competitors, projects, technology and PESTEL factors)
  • Visit selected Customers, exhibitions and conferences to gather market insights.
  • Lead generation through business intel and market studies.
  • CRM support.
  • Addressable market tracking.
  • Periodical market CAGR review.
  • Select and prepare the business intel content that is periodically shared across the organization.
  • Represent EMEA within the TPD Global analyst community.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the above processes.
Qualifications:
  • Market or business analyst professional with at least 5+ years of experience, preferably within B2B industries or consulting. Alternatively a junior MBA graduate.
  • Engineering or business degree may support the candidate, even though we appreciate that curiosity and proactivity can fill this gap.
  • P&L and balance sheet understanding.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and present data.
  • Knowledge or willing to learn Marketing processes, tools and technique
  • Real fluency in English with a 2nd European language (e.g. German, French, Italian, etc.) preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel including statistical pack, PowerPoint, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), use of QlikView (or PowerBI) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexibly with remote stakeholders
  • Real eye for detail and ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Ability to deal with large number of stakeholders under pressure within complex situations.
  • Ability to challenge status quo in a proactive way.
  • Willingness for short travels, mainly within Europe
  • Openness on identifying personal knowledge gaps and real interest to learn and develop.
