Your missions

We are seeking an experienced Title Examiner who is well-versed in complex Indian land files & transactions.

You must be familiar with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) land issues.
Ideally, you are located in the Inland Empire however this can be remote.


Job Description:

  • Abstracting county records for commercial and/or residential properties in multiple counties
  • Have a complete understanding of policy and endorsement coverages.
  • Generate Preliminary Reports, Commitments and Proforma policies.
  • The ability to read and understand Surveys.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex federal and state rules and regulations applicable to the title insurance industry.
  • Examines chain of Title for Residential properties; Examination of title to real property, ranging in complexity, to determine status and to establish chain of title
  • Performs title examination of complex title orders requiring a high level of expertise
  • Review title search reports and their documentation in a timely and thorough manner
  • Verify that the information in the title search and accompanying documentation is accurate and complete so they can provide accurate title information to the client database.
  • Resolve any issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information contained in the title documentation.
  • Abstract and analyze deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other applicable instruments;
  • Verify ownership and encumbrances of real property;
  • Preparing professional reports as required;
  • Reviewing reports for accuracy.

Job Qualification

  • 5-10 years experience with commercial and residential complex abstracting required.
  • Must be familiar with the Bureau of Indian Affairs land issues.
  • Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner.
  • Working knowledge of basic real estate title concepts.
  • Working knowledge of legal documents and how they affect title to real property.
  • Familiarity with title insurance commitment and policy format and all procedures required to prepare same, including abstracting, title examinations, survey analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with FAST; DataTrace/DataTree preferred ;
  • General PC Proficiency; Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with plotting metes and bounds legal descriptions.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and tasks requiring detail, concentration, and
  • accuracy;
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving capability and analytical ability.
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
