Project Description

RIVA is providing technical services and support of Product Development (PD)services in support of increasing the Data Maturity of their customer. The services and support requested include project management, platform and application product development, data services, data taxonomy and data management, application security, and delivery management

The purpose of this work is to provide service-oriented IT support to the customer’s Product Delivery Division, for ongoing support services of the customer’s Data Services. RIVA will be providing an integrated, manageable, scalable, and flexible solution that meets the core support services and that maximizes the use of commercially available provisioned service solutions such that the purchase of new infrastructure is minimized.

RIVA will provide services based on the Enterprise Core Services such that the Government can benefit from the existing services and economies of scale. RIVA will present a solution that easily provides for evolution of services and that provides a proactive approach to ensuring service evolution and innovation occurs. Evolution includes technological effectiveness in meeting the missions and providing reduced cost and increased efficiency over time.

Position Description and Responsibilities

The Sr. Data Analyst shall be responsible for supporting the enablement of data by providing meaningful business value through easy-to-comprehend data visualizations, enabling others to perform self-service analytics, and deploying and configuring solutions for consumption.
The Sr. Data Analyst must be proficient in using Power Query and writing expressions by using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), collaborating with enterprise data analysts and data engineers to identify and acquire data, understanding row-level data security and data sensitivity, and using Power BI to transform data, create data models, visualize data, and share data assets.
The Sr. Data Analyst shall present emerging data analytics topics of interest to Data Practitioners Community of Practice, develop high value training representing specific use cases, provide coaching to Power BI users thru troubleshooting and/or guidance on their data visualizations.
They will serve as the Power BI expert at bi-monthly Open Office sessions, and support in increasing data acumen to drive maturity in leveraging data as an asset

Requirements

MS/MA Degree
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range: $100-$175k DOE
