OVERVIEW:

Skillsoft is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sr. Director of Business Analytics to join our team in the learning industry. Reporting to the Chief Analytics Officer this individual will be responsible for driving strategic decisions through the analysis of complex data sets and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in business strategy, financial planning, and data analysis, have excellent communication and management skills, and the ability to lead a team to drive results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement data analytics best practices, tools, and techniques to improve decision-making processes across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to identify key business questions and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Lead a team of business analysts to deliver high-quality data analyses and insights to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain a suite of metrics and dashboards to track business performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through data analysis
  • Provide financial planning and analysis support to the executive team, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics, business strategy, and financial planning, and identify opportunities to apply them internally
  • Lead a small team of data analysts – mentor, develop and guide their work

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Economics, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business analytics, financial planning, and strategy and analysis, with a proven track record of driving business growth through data analysis
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of analysts
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insights to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and profitability
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Minimum of 2 years of people management experience required
  • Experience in the learning industry is a plus

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $205,000 to $256,250 annualized.

We also offer participation in the Company Bonus Program and full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
