What You Will Do

You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive market penetration strategy. This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of the public sector, strong connections, and a proven track record in driving sales of employee benefits or related solutions.


You will lead the charge in building and developing talent within the firm, establishing and tracking success metrics, and ensuring effective communication across the organization. Collaborating closely with the sales team, you will ensure the successful implementation of the public sector business plan and cross-functional alignment within MASA. Over time, you will build and lead a dedicated team to further strengthen the strategy. Your core responsibilities will center around:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to penetrate the public sector market, aligning with MASA’s corporate revenue strategy. Stay ahead of market trends and regulations to adapt our strategy as needed.
  • Sales and Business Development: Drive employee benefits sales within the public sector by leveraging your extensive network and relationships. Represent MASA at key events and conferences to enhance our visibility and credibility.
  • Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team focused on growth. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer services teams to optimize our strategy and offerings.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track success metrics, providing regular updates to executive leadership and communicating strategic insights across the organization.

What We Need From You

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years in public sector sales and business strategy at the director level or above, with a proven track record in employee benefits or adjacent markets.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in building high-performance sales teams and driving business growth.
  • Professional Network: Strong connections within the SLED sector, leveraging our success with local governments, K-12 schools, and non-profit hospitals.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the public sector procurement process and a knack for navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
