We have offices in multiple geographies across the US, UK, India, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and Singapore, and a substantial remote global workforce.

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will apply strong expertise in healthcare and payer data (such as EMR and patient claims) and frameworks (STARS, HEDIS, etc.) to design, prototype, and build next-generation advanced analytics engines and services to add to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role will collaborate with different stakeholders from across the organization to develop analytics to provide information, insights, and BI (Business Intelligence) solutions across one or more functional areas (care management, contracting and commercial, utilization management, etc.). Key activities include analyzing data requests using both curated data marts and disparate internal and external sources.
  • Leverages advanced analytics methods to create insightful recommendations and conclusions that may be communicated to the stakeholder.
  • Supports IT on the ongoing improvement of Mount Sinai’s integrated data warehouse
  • Coordinates with multiple business and technology functional stakeholders and manages projects effectively
  • Prepares clear, well-organized project-specific documentation

Requirements

  • Total experience of 5+ years
  • Experience with data science projects for healthcare and/or health insurance clients, including areas such as care management, utilization management, etc.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and payer data (such as EMR and patient claims) and frameworks (STARS, HEDIS, etc.)
  • Expected technology/tools: Python, Tableau, SQL
  • Good communication and ability to work independently with multiple client stakeholders.
