The Role

The Director of Order to Cash is an analytical and process-driven leader responsible for overseeing all functions and workflow of the order process, including order review, fulfillment, billing, and collections.   The role requires experience in high-growth SaaS environments and working closely with senior leadership in both the customer acquisition (sales) and customer retention (renewals) teams, accounting, customer success, and product teams. This is a leadership position reporting to the VP Order to Cash.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct oversight and responsibility for order management, fulfillment, billing, and day-to-day collection activities, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with revenue operations, deals desk, renewals teams, and accounting to ensure orders are primed for processing and meet all compliance and processing requirements.
  • A key member of the opportunity to cash transformation team. Engage in transformation efforts by identifying enhancements, garnering support, aligning stakeholders, drafting requirements, and overseeing change management.
  • Lead, nurture, and mentor a diverse team of 20+ direct and indirect staff.
  • Regularly publish insightful performance dashboards including volumes, accuracy, rework, and compliance.
  • Build trusting relationships with sales, renewals, accounting, and IT business partners and engage key stakeholders in regular communication. Share insights on business trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Operational expertise in self and team to leverage Salesforce.com and NetSuite platforms.
  • Ensure an effective compliance and governance process and monitor progress, risks/issues, and barriers, and create applicable mitigation strategies.
  • Set and meet commitments.  
  • Implement best practices and efficiencies and adhere to company policies.
  • Oversee and complete month-end closing procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless E2E processes and excellence in the customer buying journey.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable industry experience, accounting experience desired
  • Minimum 7 years of concentrated experience in order to cash process
  • Microsoft office suite
  • NetSuite experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Data driven with proven success leveraging data and analytics to inform and shape policy and decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership capacity to resolve complex problems within a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work well independently, in a team environment, and with remote employees
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members
