Job description

About the Job:

As a payroll consultant, you will carry out payroll work for our customers and have close contact with the customer. Emphasis is placed on understanding the customers' needs and challenges within payroll and HR. The consultant's tasks can include general advice, payroll processing and updating the system so that it complies with the laws and regulations applicable at any given time.

The role will be based in Norway. Occasional travel may also be required. Please note that this role can be based in one of our office locations in Norway (Stavanger, Bergen or Oslo) if that is your preference, or this role can be fully remote.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish a good customer dialogue
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procedures and routines
  • Follow-up Sick leave
  • Travel Expense Reports
  • Reporting
  • Reconciliation
  • Close collaboration with the team leader and other colleagues
  • Act as professional support for your colleagues in the organisation
  • KPI listed in the Customer Contract/SLA

We'd like you to have:

  • 2-3 years' experience from payroll work
  • Relevant education and work experience (Salary/accounting) can make up for a lack of education
  • Experience from offshore and sea wages
  • Good understanding of numbers, preferably also from accounting
  • Advantage with experience from OCS HR or equivalent HR and payroll systems
  • Service and Solution oriented
  • Excellent communication skills over the phone and email
  • Cultural understanding
  • Good understanding of IT and payroll systems
  • Good oral and written presentation skills, both in Norwegian and English
