About the Job:

Position: Technical Lead

In this role, you will lead our software engineering team, driving the development of our suite of tools and applications. As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you'll collaborate closely with our co-founders in our mission-driven company focused on advancing solar deployment across Southeast Asia.

Our frontend is powered by Next.js, facilitating React-based web applications, while our backend operates on the AWS cloud platform with serverless architecture. We utilize a GraphQL API for frontend services, Cognito for authentication, and databases such as DynamoDB and ElasticSearch.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute our technology strategy.
  • Architect and optimize our tech stack continuously.
  • Lead product development across critical platforms, including our solar assessment tool, customer mobile app, and internal CRM admin.
  • Mentor and guide a distributed software engineering team, promoting best practices like TDD, PR, clean code, and scrum.
  • Act as a Scrum Master, fostering an agile development environment and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with product and business teams to align the roadmap with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in full-stack software development or technical product development within fast-growing startups.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, preferably overseeing remote engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies, particularly Node.js, Next.js, and React.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud platform, serverless architecture, and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with various databases such as PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and DynamoDB.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points for:

  • Co-founding experience in startups.
  • Background in the solar or renewable energy industry.
