Job description

Join our dynamic team at MyHeritage as a Senior Backend Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in crafting innovative features and enhancing current solutions. If you thrive in the challenge of optimizing complex systems under significant load and are passionate about continual improvement and innovation, we welcome you to be part of our journey. With exposure to a diverse array of technologies, this role offers an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set and explore new horizons.

What you bring

  • B.Sc. in computer science or software engineering
  • Minimum 5 years working as a PHP software developer
  • Extensive knowledge in OOD, architectural and design patterns
  • Self-directed, ambitious, team player, fast-learn and a strong communicator
  • Experience working with complex database schemas
What else
  • Continuous integration and deployment
  • Experienced with end to end data and large-scale performance challenges
  • Good understanding of Agile concepts
  • Upper-intermediate English 
Will be a plus
  • Practical experience in different languages (Java, Python)
  • Experience in building microservice architecture (pros and cons)
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure
