Huntsman Polyurethanes Division is seeking a Key Account Manager. This position can be located in The Woodlands, TX or report in through a remote location.

Job Scope

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for the execution of the Key Account Strategy for select accounts within the Americas with possible global reach. The revenue responsibility will range from approx. $ 20M to $100M annually for Polyurethane and Polyol products with an expectation of achieving 15-20% EBITDA profitability.  The KAM will have the responsibility to build strong, and lasting relationships at all levels of the Key Accounts' organization while driving profitable growth.

As the Key Account Manager, you will: 

  • Establish, implement, and lead strategic planning for targeted accounts that will follow the established contract management process.
  • Expand share of wallet and extract sustainable value within the selected key accounts
  • Drive the strategic spending plans of the account in the current/next fiscal year
  • Maintain, develop and leverage relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the selected key accounts
  • Be responsible for detecting and directing new projects with these key customers
  • Drive internal coordination to fulfill Key account needs
  • Gather feedback information on competition and key market dynamics
  • Leverage and use Sales Enablement and Commercial Excellence tools and strategies to drive efficiency and increase business profitability

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field, or a science related field with an MBA
  • 10+ years of experience in Account Management Leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in a Chemical or Polyurethane industry preferred.
  • Proven success selling chemicals to consumer goods and construction markets.
  • Ability to work across the various levels of organizations, including operations and executive levels.
