Job Title: Bookkeeper

Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM EST

Job Description:

We are an investment firm with a diverse portfolio of majority and minority stakes in several operating companies across various industries. Our firm provides direct financial, operational, and strategic support to promote stability and growth within these companies. Additionally, we offer recurring and ad-hoc financial and accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses and support independent searcher-led acquisitions through capital investment and strategic back-office services.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Record and post daily financial transactions to appropriate accounts across multiple companies.
  • Process payroll, manage entries, and maintain journal logs.
  • Prepare financial reports and compile data for external auditors.
  • Manage accounts payable, billing/invoicing, and receivable processes.
    Support ongoing collections efforts.
  • Assist in the management of employee benefits, including deductions, 401k contributions, and related financial entries.
  • Conduct bank, credit card, and other financial reconciliations as necessary.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Engage in financial modeling, maintain dashboards, and track financial KPIs.
  • Assist with financial forecasting, cash flow management, and other reporting needs.
  • Maintain investor relations reports and manage ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Job Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with Bill.com is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret financial reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity for quick thinking.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and technologies.
  • Highly self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
