We are looking for a Test Engineer II who will:

  • This role is responsible for reviewing the overall architecture and composing complex test plan script, executing the tests, documenting the results and analyzing the output. This role also works with Test & Defect Management tools, Test automation tools and scripting languages to complete basic tasks.
  • Reviews and analyzes overall architecture of slightly complex hardware, software, and networking systems by composing detailed test plan scripts ensuring proper requirements coverage, executing the tests, documenting the results, analyzing the output, root cause analysis and communicating results.
  • Must understand the requirements and perform moderately complex design and development, maintenance of the automation & manual test suites as per project needs. Additionally, this role performs automated and manual test execution for functional, application, regression and integration tests. 
  • Participates in activities related to the Agile and DevOps including planning, reviews, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and corrective actions etc.
  • Ensure that peers, BA, and Architect review Feature & Regression Test Cases working with Scrum Master / Test Engineer Leadon issues with the process
  • Track defects and ensure that fixes are delivered on time working with Scrum Master / Test Engineer Lead
  • Monitor test KPIs and initiate corrective action if required with Project Manager/Scrum Master/Test Lead
  • Ensure the test process is followed working with Scrum Master/Test Engineer Lead
  • Create and Update User Story, Feature & Regression Test Cases
  • Test user stories and collect test evidence
  • Update traceability matrix in Confluence/Jira
  • Provide support to PO for Feature Demo during a release
  • Apply review comments to updated Feature and Regression Test Cases
  • Identifies data needed for test, and creates new data or obtains existing data to meet requirements of the test.
  • Provide input to  test strategy and approach documents working with the Test Engineer Lead
  • Understanding the requirements and perform basic design and development, maintenance of the automation & manual test suites as per project needs.
  • Performs automated and manual test execution for functional, application, regression and integration tests.
  • Develops an understanding of the feature’s requirements and how the features are used.
  • Keeps informed & recommends emerging technologies and product offerings.
  • Responsible for learning new products and existing applications. Provides training and documentation to other members, as required.
  • Create reusable knowledge assets
  • Share test lessons learned as part of Sprint & Release Retrospective meetings
  • May be required to be on call during non-standard work hours.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Incumbent is accountable for professional working behavior to include; building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating CSG’s core competencies and values.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Basic experience typically acquired through 3-5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge in software testing; research, design, methodologies/processes, implementation and documentation.
  • Experience with testing tools and/or evaluation of testing tools.
  • Experience with test plan development and test environments.
  • Experience in planning and organizing test plan execution.
  • Technical experience in testing methodologies and procedures.
  • Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under direct supervision on limited scope
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated and fast-paced environment
