Responsibilities:
  • Support a NOC/Command Center on-site for 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Monitor Infrastructure Operation Services in a NOC environment
  • Support restoration services such as restarting servers, processes and or tools
  • Identify when an event qualifies as needing a disaster mitigation or a disaster recovery response
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies
  • Willingness to train on DR processes​
  • Validate and test Infrastructure Operations (IO) Incident response
  • Assist in development and testing of plans, policies, and procedures for Disaster Mitigation (DM)/Disaster Recovery (DR)​
  • Assist with the orchestration of actions during DM/DR event and report as required​
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by support tools and implement corrective actions quickly
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other
  • Requires System Admin skills/background
  • Experience in Linux and or Windows
  • NAS experience is a plus
  • Active Directory experience is a plus
  • SQL experience is a plus

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total)

 

Clearance: 

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation 

 

Location:

  • Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
  • Thursday - Monday  (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM CST Time)
