Your missions

The Global Technical Development Manager, Key Account represents Ingredion at multiple levels of the customer’s organization and provides technical support including on-site visits to the customer. The incumbent is also responsible for coordination of technical activities amongst the account technical team as well as identifying and progressing the commercialization of new products.

 

Core Responsibilities:

EMEA Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage EMEA lab & pilot trials to support two key accounts customer projects / innovation days / visits / technical & NPD workshops.
  • Co-lead with the Global Key Account Sales Directors monthly internal EMEA calls to drive salesforce project pipeline progress, document success stories, share initiatives within the teams.

GLOBAL and Regional Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver key global projects as well as specific regional projects to agreed time frames.
  • Build strong relationships at multiple level with technical and innovation teams both internally and at the customer. Develop and maintain global internal and external networks to assist with rapid delivery of solutions.
  • Lead regular calls with customer global R&D portfolio leads to align on key initiatives and progress our Innovation agenda.
  • Co-lead with the Global Key Account Sales Director quarterly internal global calls to drive salesforce project pipeline progress, document success stories, share initiatives within the teams.
  • Together with the Global Key Account Sales and Technical Directors, develop, maintain, and execute the strategic account plan, to build and deliver on an innovation roadmap that supports business growth.
  • Report technical activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and drive legal, regulatory, and quality related interactions at multiple levels within Ingredion and the account.
  • Understand the unmet needs and anticipate future needs of the account brands and share these insights with Global Marketing and Innovation to fuel Ingredion’s Innovation Funnel
  • Introduce and position new technologies; manage Ingredion innovation pipeline in line with the account global commercial agreement.
  • Ensure all intellectual knowledge and know-how is adequately protected; maintain confidential records of all technical work, key meetings, and presentations.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to the global technical account team.

 

Qualified candidate will have:

  • Degree in Food Science or other science related discipline
  • 10+ years of NPD / innovation experience in the food (FMCG / B2C) or food ingredients (B2B) industry
  • History of successful projects delivering product innovation and proven track record of technically supporting customers in the food industry
  • Excellent knowledge of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions
  • Strong business acumen and drive to achieve commercial success.
  • Confidence in communicating with senior and executive management at Ingredion and the customer.
  • Strong project and time management skills along with planning and organizing skills.
  • Solid networking, team playing & influencing skills.
  • Excellent command of communication & presentation skills - English fluency required.
  • Ability to travel within the region up to 30% of the time and occasional international travels.
