Responsibilities
1. Providing management oversight and support to project engineers during the engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases for a range of Battery Energy Storage projects, from; DC only BESS to full turnkey installations (Civil, AC/DC Electrical & Mechanical).
2. Assist in the development of equipment vendor and contractor strategies.
3. Develop standard process, procedures, documentation and tools to effectively deliver a wide range of project solutions.
4. Optimize efficiency of the existing engineering team through effective mentoring / training of junior PE’s and EIT’s.
5. Assist in the preparation of customer facing estimates and proposal submittals, along with any required project documentation.
6. Ensure that all project engineering deliverables are on schedule / on budget and communicate project status to internal and external audiences via standardized project controls systems.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients to facilitate business development.
8. Become the Project Engineering BESS SME and internal engineering interface.
9. Work with applications engineers pre and post contract award to optimize customer BESS solutions, use case reviews and commercial proposal strategies and processes.
10. Assists with resource planning, and scheduling.
11. Establishes technical standards for reviews, documentation, and designs.
12. Assist in the development and the review of project design deliverables per Eos project management plans.
13. Develop engineering technical documents to support procurement (SOW, RFQ’s, specifications).
14. Identify and lead integration of design tools needed to create world class projects.
15. Provide support to Field Service Technicians when troubleshooting in field commissioning and service operations.
16. Collaborates with Product Engineering to define, refine and improve BESS systems.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience required
PE certification or equivalent (preferred), and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in all aspects of engineering management.
Minimum 10 years’ technical supervisory experience in supervising other PE’s.
Minimum 10 years managing technical capital projects worth >$10MM.
