Job Description:
This part-time role will work under the general direction of the Public Works team. The tasks and projects assigned vary in complexity such as small stormwater ponds and neighborhood sidewalks, to intersection improvements which may consist of roundabouts or advance traffic management systems, to major construction/reconstruction of bridges, roadways and/or flood control efforts.
Work Hours: Typical County office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m based out of the North County Operations Facility at 1001 Sarasota Center Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34291. Part-time hours will be scheduled with the successful candidate on as as-needed/as-available basis.
- Flexible schedules to be discussed ranging from 8-32 hours per week.
- Remote or hybrid options to be discussed.
- Days/hours worked can vary to adapt to the successful candidate’s schedule.
About You
To thrive in this Engineering and Project Manager opportunity, you must have:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- Valid Florida driver’s license

Pay Range: $50-$100/hour, based on your experience
