Sr Front End Developer

The Opportunity at Pelairo: We're embarking on the development of a cutting-edge Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) powered by Medplum's FHIR-based healthcare API platform. As a Senior Front-End Developer at Pelairo, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the user interface of our web applications. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to implement visually appealing and responsive interfaces. Your expertise in modern front-end technologies and best practices will be crucial in delivering high- quality products to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and maintain the front-end of web applications using React.js/Next.js.
-Implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and
Tailwind.
-Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
-Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in TypeScript.
-Utilize Git for version control and collaboration.
-Ensure the reliability of the application by writing and maintaining tests using Jest.
-Collaborate with the design team to translate UI/UX designs into code.
-Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
-Maintain component libraries and documentation using StoryBook.
-Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the
codebase.
-Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate frontend workflows.
-Work closely with the lead full-stack developer to ensure seamless integration of front-
end and back-end components.
-Communicate effectively with team members to identify and solve problems efficiently.

Qualifications: 
-Proficiency in TypeScript.Strong experience with Git and proper usage of its functionalities.
-Expertise in API RESTful integration and GraphQL.
-In-depth knowledge of React.js/Next.js, including components, hooks, custom hooks, routing, Axios, component lifecycle, state management, context API, and services.
-Advanced skills in HTML/CSS and Tailwind for markup and styling.
-Experience with Jest (or similar) for testing.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-have:
-Experience with mock data for testing and development.
-Familiarity with StoryBook for building components in isolation.
-Knowledge of CI/CD practices, especially using GitHub Actions for frontend
automation.○ Basic understanding of back-end technologies and concepts.
-Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, bug-free code.
-Prior experience in the healthcare or laboratory domain.
