Conversational Designer - AI

We seek a Conversational Designer (AI) anywhere in the USA (Remote).

Position Overview: As a Conversational Designer, you will create and optimize conversational experiences that delight users and meet business objectives. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design, test, and refine conversational flows across different platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  • Create conversational flows, scripts, and dialogue for chatbots, virtual assistants, and voice interfaces.
  • Develop user personas, scenarios, and use cases to inform design decisions.
  • Design conversational interactions that are natural, engaging, and effective.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers, and content strategists.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve conversational experiences.
• Research and Testing:
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Perform usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data insights.
  • Analyze conversational data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Documentation and Presentation:
  • Document conversational flows, design guidelines, and best practices.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and gather feedback.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in conversational AI and UX design.
  • Experiment with new tools and techniques to enhance conversational design processes.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Proven experience in conversational design, UX writing, or a related field.
  • Experience with chatbot platforms (e.g., Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, Rasa) and voice assistants (e.g., Alexa, Google Assistant).
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of human-computer interaction principles and conversational AI technologies.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with a focus on clarity and user experience.
  • Proficiency with design tools and conversation platforms, such as Figma, DialogFlow, Amazon Lex, or Open AI
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and usability testing methods.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret conversational data and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning concepts.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
