Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Training & Development Director to centralize and lead our training functions across various departments within the organization. The T&D Director will be responsible for establishing and implementing effective training processes and practices, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address knowledge gaps, and ensuring that training programs align with business performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Centralize Training Functions:
  • Develop and implement a centralized training strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Standardize training processes and practices across all departments.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in training delivery
  • Business Understanding and Performance Metrics:
  • Analyze business performance metrics to identify training needs and measure training impact.
  • Use data-driven insights to enhance training programs and address performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align training objectives with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Curriculum Design:
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand knowledge gaps and training requirements.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula that meet the needs of various departments.
  • Ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and impactful.
  • Communication and Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate training initiatives with precision and clarity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Resource Optimization and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Leverage resources effectively to maximize training impact and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to gain their support and commitment to training initiatives.
  • Advocate for the value of training and development across the organization.
  • Learning & Development Systems and Processes:
  • Set up and optimize L&D systems, processes, and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Implement best practices in learning and development to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Leadership and Strategy:
  • Exhibit a leadership mindset by challenging the status quo and driving innovation in training practices.
  • Develop and execute long-term training strategies that support organizational growth and development.
  • Provide strategic direction to the training team and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • L&D Execution at Different Levels:
  • Oversee the execution of training programs at various levels within the organization.
  • Ensure that training initiatives are tailored to meet the needs of different employee groups.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.
  • Tracking Training Goals and KRAs:
  • Set and track training goals and Key Result Areas (KRAs) for the training team.
  • Ensure that training objectives are met and align with overall business goals.
  • Regularly review and adjust training goals based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Measuring Training Outcomes:
  • Develop and implement methods to measure the outcomes of training programs.
  • Analyse training data to assess the effectiveness and ROI of training initiatives.
  • Report on training outcomes and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior L&D role within a large organization, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align training with business performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in centralizing and optimizing training functions.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and design impactful training curricula.
  • Proficiency in using L&D systems and processes to enhance training delivery.
  • Leadership mindset with a strategic vision and the ability to drive innovation.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high-performing training team.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced certifications in Learning and Development or related fields.
  • Experience working in leading tech companies such as Amazon, Uber, or Expedia.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in corporate training and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
