Position Overview

As an Assessment (Testing) Coordinator with Stellar Virtual, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of tests for our students in Texas. You will be responsible for coordinating test registration, preparing testing materials, and supervising test sites to maintain the integrity of the exams. Additionally, you will assist with test logistics, manage test supplies, and provide support to students, faculty, and staff regarding testing-related inquiries.


Essential Position Functions


  • Coordinate test registration, prepare testing materials, assign students to test locations, supervise test sites, and implement test security measures.
  • Facilitate accommodations for students with disabilities or special needs, review requests, arrange appropriate testing arrangements, and ensure compliance;
  • Manage logistics, and coordinate test site personnel, equipment needs, and test supplies.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for testing-related inquiries and support, providing information and guidance to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to test security protocols and compliance with testing regulations, training, and supervising personnel.
  • Manage accurate and timely reporting of test scores, update records, and assist with interpretation.
  • Assist students in accessing test preparation resources/services.
  • Participate in professional development activities, and collaborate in after-action reviews to enhance testing processes and strategies.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities


  • Knowledgeable of state testing procedures and requirements;
  • Knowledgeable of district testing programs and software;
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and families;
  • Excellent time-management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate multiple projects to meet specific deadlines;
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information;
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic;
  • Ability to maintain a professional and calm demeanor during stressful times.

Education & Certification Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree preferred;
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with personnel and team management;
  • Experience with logistical planning and records research;
  • Teaching and/or school counseling experience preferred;
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Docs, Forms, Slides, databases, data entry, and spreadsheet functions.
