Detail Engineer - Remote

ITC Service Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of AFL. Founded in 1999, ITC provides managed services and workforce solutions for the nationwide planning, design, construction, installation and maintenance of voice, data, and video networks. We are looking to hire a Detail Engineer to do site surveys in the Western region.

In this role, you will Conduct Site Surveys on Telephone Central Offices, Cell Sites, Remote Cabinets and Terminals, and CEV and Huts. Conduct all site surveys for Customer Premise fiber installations including Hospitals, School District Properties, Government/City Offices, Steel Mills, Railroads, and Industrial Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Sales Engineering/Customer premise walk throughs
• Assist and train Detail Engineers
• Manage special projects (New customer EF&I)
• Prepare Customer Quotes
• Submit IDP’s Installation Design Packages
• Provide project costing, scheduling and P&L
• Assist Installation forces from beginning of Installation through Test and Turn up to customer handoff
• Trouble shooting of all equipment
• Provide customer E, F, and I custom quotes for all work in above locations
• Read and Understand all customer drawings and specs to quote/install/engineer equipment accurately.
• Create Detail Job Specifications and Prints for accurate job installation
• Order required materials complete installations
• Create BOM’s (Bill of Materials)
• Coordinate any/all subcontractors required on each individual project
• Update all required customer databases
• Provide ongoing weekly job status reports
• Preparation of paperwork including JSA’s and Detailed MOP’s
• Interact with customers on a daily basis
• Submit Weekly and Monthly on Time Delivery Reports
• Ability to work with little or no Supervision
• Extensive Travel up 60% of time
• Attend Weekly budget meetings to assure job profitability by project end
  
  

Required

• Extensive knowledge of Ciena 6500 product line
• Extensive knowledge of other OEM SONET, DWDM, Packet product lines
• Fully Experienced in AT&T databases TabDb, EIU, Granite, JSA’s MOP’s, VIP’s, NISE-C,
• EJF (Electronic Job Folder), ETRAK.
