Data Product Owner - Marketing Tribe

Job title: Data Product Owner - Marketing Tribe

Location: Sofia

Overview of the role:

Reporting into the Head of Marketing Product Owners, the Data Product Owner for Marketing is a key role within the Marketing Products function and the organisation at large. You will be responsible for managing the development, use, and performance of data products within the Marketing Tribe operating according to the Agile principles.

To help deliver on the end state vision for the Marketing Product team, you will be owning the Initiative delivery for Orchestration and Segmentation Goals in the Marketing 1- N list, with specific focus on how to implement them by improving the value for the Marketing product team and the Organisation. You will be working alongside all Marketing Product Owners, Product Managers and Technology peers and get support from cross functional teams including data scientists, engineers, designers, and marketers.

In the role you will master the multiple complex product and marketing domains that we operate in, ensuring our features support the global scale of the division and the vast array of customer experiences.

You will take a leading role in data-driven Initiatives, ensuring Data Quality, Compliance and Performance are managed the best viable way.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping our mission aligned.

Our teams work from a lively location nestled within this historic city. Enjoy the best of both worlds with winter and summer offices, tantalizing free snacks and a gaming paradise for endless entertainment.

What you’ll do:

As a Data Product Owner in Marketing Product, you will be owning Marketing Data features, to build the proper capabilities for the wider Marketing team.

The role requires deep collaboration with peers in product, technology, and data tribe to ensure our Initiatives are aligned with organization's strategic goals and the data is optimized for processing and analytics to derive valuable insights for decision-making.

  • Demonstrate ownership of Data Initiatives aiming for data consistency, accessibility, and error-reduction;
  • Create and manage the required backlog associated with owned Initiatives based on high-level requirements/Scope provided by the Product Managers with focus on:
  • collecting, organizing, storing, and sharing data, and assessment of needs for data.
  • data compliance and meeting the regulation requirements for the organisation
  • data sufficiency for following desired player journeys
  • Define data product requirements and objectives
  • Make tough decisions on what features to include or not as part of initial deployment, and to negotiate state these will be delivered in based on the timeline constraints, providing insight to Leadership on status, aiming to improve the value;
  • Coordinate dependencies and relations with other data teams developing and maintaining data products
  • Find ways to leverage data flow throughout an entire product lifecycle (not just the design stage);
  • Monitor data product performance and usage in each phase of the product development cycle, evaluating the progress and providing insight to managers
  • Act as a liaison between data professionals, business partners, and technical teams
  • Resolve blockers and optimize backlog completion by analysing dependencies early enough;
  • Monitor risks associated with owned Initiatives and ensure those are raised appropriately and communicated as needed;
  • Validate end-to-end solutions prior to Production deployment and post-production launch for owned Initiatives, and to coordinate regression validation and smoke testing for the features indirectly touched by the owned Initiatives with the rest of the POs.
  • Ensure data quality and compliance with data governance policies and regulations
  • Continuously monitor post-launch performance on implemented data products and own manager communication related to Incidents; or change requests
  • Have a clear understanding of the Marketing Data Goals, anticipating new Initiatives post-launch to fulfil the Goal;
