Responsible for carrying out installation, emergency repair, preventive maintenance and performing retrofits and upgrades on Alcon surgical equipment. The role is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction within the assigned territory by providing the highest level of service. Where applicable, this role is expected to negotiate service agreements towards meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.

  • Carry out new equipment installations in consultation with the customer & sales force.
  • Perform Repairs, Planned Maintenance plus submission of documentation on time with attention to detail and with proper consultation with the customer.
  • Provide sales and marketing colleagues with support when required.
  • Actively promote and sell Alcon Service Agreements.
  • Understand and adhere to all quality and ISO requirements

Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in an Electronic related field. Ideally hold Biomedical Engineering qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years field experience in a customer facing service environment
  • Advanced PC literacy
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (mulitmeters, oscilloscopes, laser / energy meters, pressure and vacuum meters
  • High level of commitment to detail and accuracy
  • Customer management skills
  • Laser licence and restricted electrical licence - highly desired
  • This role requires:
  •  regular travel consisting of local, interstate and international travel
  • Regular physical activity including lifting, bending, crouching and manual handling
