Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated analytics Insights Manager to join the North America Shipping Team. This team is responsible for driving growth and adoption of shipping initiatives while maintaining a focus on a great customer experience. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional business analytics and insights that drive success for the team. Your primary focus will involve developing and providing practical insights derived from analytics to support the overall strategy and operations for shipping services and labels purchased on eBay.

You will work closely with carrier management, product and marketing teams – identifying key customer needs and partnering with cross functional internal teams including legal, finance, product development and product management to champion those changes. Contribute to ongoing activation of existing and any relevant future shipping programs!

What you will do

  • Work with business partners to scope analysis to answer key business questions – challenge their thinking and become a trusted business partner. Help the business prioritize deliverables and manage expectations.
  • Perform exploratory analysis of large data sets.
  • Derive tactical and strategic insights to improve business strategies and accelerate business growth.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and statistical skills towards taking complex and unstructured business problems, and providing structured, hypothesis-driven and data-supported practical solutions.
  • Have strong empirical and analytical background, with proven ability to combine quantitative and qualitative findings to frame the right questions and measurable insights.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives that provide a better customer experience. Advocate for specific features based on customer / business feedback and industry trends.

What you’ll need:

  • Exceptional business judgment and quantitative abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into committed recommendations.
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, Python/R) and a good understanding of data warehouse architecture
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create visually impactful reports and dashboards
  • Hypothesis testing and experience with experimentation (A/B testing)
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling techniques and their application to business scenarios – more specific to surface and communicate business insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex information to both technical and non-technical partners
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science or related field

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$106,800 - $162,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
